Getting in
OSLO is invite-only right now. You request access, we set the workspace up, and the invite arrives by email.
Request early access
Go to app.getoslo.ai and choose Request early access. The form asks who you are, your company, and what you want to solve first. We use that last answer to decide what your workspace starts with.
We build the workspace
Usually within two business days. You get one invite link, good for a single use.
Set a password
The link opens a page where you confirm your name and choose a password. After that you sign in with your email and that password.
Answer the setup questions
First login walks through your organisation name and contact number, your industry, your business details, your logo and brand colour, and what matters most right now. The last question offers sample data. Say yes if you want something to click around before your real records go in.
Set up the workspace
Do this before you send anything to a customer. Everything here prints on your quotes, invoices and agreements.
Settings → Workspace holds three groups worth filling in properly.
- Branding. Your logo and brand colour. These carry onto every document you send.
- General. Workspace name, the currency you bill in, country and timezone.
- Billing identity. Registered legal name, tax registration, registered address, and the email and phone your customers should reply to. Indian workspaces add the GSTIN and GST state here, which is what makes tax split correctly on documents.
Two more worth a visit on day one:
- Finance → Productsfor what you sell, so it's ready to drop onto a quote. Put HSN or SAC codes on them now if you file GST.
- Settings → Document Templates to pick the layout and accent colour your quotes and invoices use, plus default notes and terms.
Invite your team
Settings → Members, then Invite Member. You can type an email address, or pick someone from your employee list if the People module is on.
Pick a role
The role decides what they can do and whose records they see. The list is below.
Choose their modules
Leave it on all the modules their role allows, or restrict it to the ones you tick. Only modules your workspace actually has are listed.
They accept
The invite emails a link that lets them set a password and land straight in. Invites stay open for 7 days. If someone comes back to an old email, resend it rather than reusing the link.
Seats.Your plan covers a number of members. Inviting past that is refused, and it tells you the number you're on. You add seats in Settings → Billing. Deactivating someone frees their seat and keeps their records, still attributed to them.
Roles and access
Three separate things decide what a person can reach.
- What your workspace has.CRM, Projects and Finance are on from the start. The rest are switched on per workspace. Nothing below can grant a module your workspace doesn't have.
- Which of those a member can open. Set per person in Settings → Members.
- What their role lets them do, and whose records they see.
| Role | What they see |
|---|---|
| Owner, Admin | Everything, including settings and billing. |
| Leader | Every operational module across the whole organisation. No workspace settings. |
| Manager | The same, for themselves and the people reporting to them. |
| Member | Their own records. The default for a salesperson. |
| Field Worker | Their own jobs, projects and claims. |
| Employee | The employee portal only. |
| Client | The client portal only. |
Reporting lines come from the manager set on each member, not from the role. A manager with nobody reporting to them sees only their own work.
Owners and admins can edit the permissions behind each role in Settings → Roles & Permissions, including how wide each module's visibility goes. Building a role from scratch needs Growth or above.
Finding your way around
The sidebar on the left is your module list. The dashboard is the landing page, and what it shows follows your role: your own numbers if you carry a target, your team's if people report to you, the company's if you run it.
- The Get started panelon the dashboard lists your first few actions, grouped by area. Close it when you're done with it.
- The date filter runs from the last 7 days out to a custom range, with a compare toggle for the period before.
- Searchis Cmd+K, or Ctrl+K on Windows. It finds records and screens, and offers Ask OSLO if you'd rather ask a question.
- The tour runs once on your first login. Replay it any time from your profile menu.
- Notifications are the bell. Choose what reaches you, and what also emails you, in Settings → Notifications.
Ask OSLO
Ask OSLO is the orb in the corner of every screen, and a full page of its own in the sidebar. It reads your workspace, so you can ask it plain questions: which deals are slipping, what you invoiced last month, who owes you money, what to expect in tomorrow's meeting.
It respects your access exactly. A rep asking about pipeline gets their own pipeline, a manager gets their team's, an owner gets the company's. It can't show you a record you couldn't open yourself.
It can also do things: create a lead, a deal, a task or a project, add a note, move a deal to another stage. It always shows you what it's about to do and waits for you to confirm.
Bring in your data
Settings → Data Import takes CSV or Excel files for contacts and companies, deals, leads, and employees. Owners and admins can run it.
Start from the template
Download the CSV or Excel template for what you're importing. Coming from another CRM or a spreadsheet, export to CSV and paste your columns in.
Upload and map
Drop the file in. OSLO matches your column headings to its fields and shows you the mapping. Required fields are marked, and you can skip any column.
Validate
This is a dry run. It reports what would import, what would be skipped as a duplicate, and which rows have problems. Nothing is written yet.
Import
Then run it for real. Duplicates are matched on email and skipped rather than overwritten, so re-importing the same file is safe.
On your phone
OSLO works in a phone browser, and you can install it to your home screen so it opens like an app.
- Android and Chrome. An install card appears in the app. Tap Install app.
- iPhone and Safari. Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
The phone view is where Field Service earns its keep: your jobs for the day, and a customer signature captured on the screen.
